We don’t have anything against olive oil—it makes a great vinaigrette, but we’re super stoked about a class of oils that don’t show up very much in the typical Western diet: Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT). Research is showing that these fatty acids are fantastically good for us. They have a unique chemical structure that seems to boost metabolism 1,2 produce ketones 3 which provide healthy energy and fuel for the brain 4,5.

MCT fatty acids can have anywhere between six to twelve carbons in their chemical structure, but the magic number is eight, not just because it was Cal Ripken, Jr.’s number. Eight carbons in the fatty acid chemical chain is the goldilocks size, it’s neither too big nor too small. Our body can digest it easily and quickly turn it into fuel, instead of storing it as fat 2,3. Coconut oil is a great example of a food that contains MCT fatty acids.

We developed MCT Oil Powder because we wanted an easy way to get a concentrated dose of these beneficial C8 MCT fatty acids into our bodies every day. MCT oils in their raw form can be a pain to stir into smoothies and they aren’t very portable. That’s why we made our MCT Oil into a powder by binding it to Acacia fiber, a 100% natural prebiotic which research is showing to offer a whole host of benefits to the gut 6,7.

Our ingredient list is short and allergy-friendly by design. Unlike competitive products, you won’t find corn, dairy or artificial fillers such as the evil maltodextrin in our MCT Oil Powder.
