Fast, Easy and Vegan Way to Boost B12 and Reverse Deficiency

2500 Micrograms of Methylcobalamin B12 per Dissolvable Tablet

There’s nothing that says “a vampire sucked my blood and all I got was a lousy t-shirt” like a Vitamin B12 deficiency. Chronic fatigue and brain fog are among the most common complaints. This essential vitamin is necessary for energy production, mood regulation, cognitive support, metabolic functions, digestion and more.1,2

Lots of people are low in B12. Because almost no plants contain a high dose of bioavailable Vitamin B12 3, vegans and many vegetarians need to take a supplement to get their fill.4 People over the age of 65 have been found to be at increased risk of B12 deficiency.5 Also folks with impaired digestion easily become deficient because they lack the digestive fire needed to absorb B12. This is especially true of people with IBS, Crohn’s disease 6 and those taking stomach acid-lowering medication.7 The blood sugar regulating drug metformin has also been found to lead to low B12 levels.8

Nested Naturals B12 is an easy to chew tablet, no glass of water needed. We use the methylcobalamin form of B12 because some studies suggest that it offers better bioavailability than the cheaper cyanocobalamin form.9

A Powerful Boost of Vitamin B12

Energy Boost

B12 plays an essential role in helping the body convert nutrients from food into fuel.11 It’s needed to produce red blood cells which deliver fresh oxygen throughout the body.12 B12 is a natural energy booster, helping you to feel vital and ready for anything.

Cognitive Focus and Memory

Vitamin B12 plays a role in nerve health and neurotransmitter signaling.1 Studies suggest13,14 that it is needed for concentration and cognitive processes. It may help prevent neurodegenerative diseases, including dementia15 and Alzheimer’s disease.16

Mood Enhancement and Anti-Anxiety

The energy boost from B12 alone can go a long way in helping with mood.17 Research has also shown18 that B12 is necessary for producing the SAMe compound, which is crucial for neurological function, stress response and mood regulation.

Metabolism Optimizer

B12 helps you to burn nutrients efficiently,11 which is not only important for energy and weight management, but also immune function, cell production and a whole host of other things.

Heart Health and Blood Pressure

Research suggests19 that B12 may fight cardiovascular disease by lowering levels of homocysteine, an amino acid in the blood that in high concentrations has been linked to stroke and heart attack.20

Cell Production and Repair

A big part of metabolism is making and repairing the cells in your body. B12 is important for DNA synthesis and repair,18 and to assist in the production of the building blocks such as amino acids and lipids needed for cell growth.

Your Questions, Our Answers

See the most popular questions asked about Vitamin B12.

Why is the B12 listed at a much higher dose than the recommended daily allowance?

First, it’s important to know that B-vitamins are water soluble, so there’s no risk of toxicity. Whatever your body doesn’t use flows out through your urine. In the case of B vitamins, more is not a bad thing. In fact, no tolerable upper limit has been set in the US for B12.21

Numerous studies 22,23 have shown that taking certain nutrients in amounts greater than 100% DV (recommended daily value) can have positive effects on health. For example, research suggests 24 that the nervous system benefits from consuming higher levels of B vitamins.

When formulating our vitamins, we consult with peer-reviewed studies and follow the guidelines for safe UL (upper limits). We formulate for safety always. At the same time, we formulate our supplements to offer optimal health benefit.

How many tablets of Nested Naturals B12 should I take per day?

We suggest taking one tablet each day.

Should I take Nested Naturals Vitamin B12 with food or on an empty stomach?

Since B vitamins are water-soluble, you can take this anytime—with food or without.

Should I take a B Complex or B12?

The simple answer to this question is that if you have had your levels checked and only B12 is low, by all means less is more. This can be the case for vegans, vegetarians and people with digestive problems who are eating a protein-rich, healthy diet.

It’s more common for people to be low in multiple B-vitamins. If you are a vegetarian or vegan and you aren’t loading up on legumes every day, you’ll likely benefit from the full B Complex. Same goes if you are under stress. You’re likely low in a range of B vitamins.

As always, we encourage you to consult with your physician about your body’s specific nutritional needs.

Why are there “Other ingredients” listed on the Nested Naturals B12?

We believe that you deserve to know everything that goes into your body. That’s why we include every single ingredient on our label … not just the active ingredients. We are transparent about the “other” ingredients that are necessary to create a working supplement that other labels often don’t bother to mention, such as thickening agents, capsule materials and natural flavoring. These amounts of these ingredients are so tiny that most supplement makers don’t bother listing them.

Is there wheat or corn in Nested Naturals B12?

To help the B12 tablet dissolve quickly under the tongue we include mannitol, a sugar alcohol which is isolated and extracted from corn and wheat. Technically, we can’t say that B12 is wheat-free or corn-free, since the xylitol comes is extracted from these sources. That said, the process to purify the mannitol makes it highly unlikely to contain wheat gluten or corn allergens.

What is magnesium stearate doing in Nested Naturals B12?

Magnesium stearate is used in miniscule amounts to ensure that the tablets don’t stick to the machinery during the manufacturing process. The amount is so tiny that it presents no harm to your health.

What is stearic acid doing in Nested Naturals B12?

Stearic acid is a saturated fatty acid that is found in vegetable fats and oils. We use miniscule amounts of it during the manufacturing process to create a nice, smooth tablet.
