Premium Vitamin D3 in Sunflower Oil for Maximum Absorption

5000 IUs of D3 for Strong Immunity, Healthy Bones and Good Sleep

Vitamin D has been shown to play a critical role in supporting overall health, including immunity, bone health and mood 1,2,3. If you live in the US or Canada, it’s likely that you aren’t getting enough Vitamin D from its primary natural source: sun exposure. Research shows upwards of 75% of the population has a deficiency.6

During winter months far from the equator, there’s not enough UVB radiation from the sun to stimulate adequate production of Vitamin D on the skin. Latitudes that include New York City and Boston are Vitamin D dead zones from November to March. During summer months, sunscreen use curtails the skin’s ability to make Vitamin D.

Supplementing with Nested Naturals Vitamin D3 is a potent, cruelty-free and easy way to increase your levels of this critical vitamin. Each capsule gives you 5,000 IUs of premium quality, highly absorbable Vitamin D3 sourced from purified lanolin. We designed our gel-caps to be small and easy to swallow. As importantly, there’s no gnarly aftertaste that is common with other Vitamin D3 supplements.

Promote Strong Bones and Healthy Teeth

Vitamin D helps the body absorb and use minerals such as calcium and phosphorus which are necessary for strong bones and healthy teeth. Without enough Vitamin D, bones and teeth begin to weaken which can result in fractures and bone loss.1,2

Improve Mood, Sleep and Energy

Studies have found a positive correlation between healthy Vitamin D levels and both mood, sleep quality and energy levels.5

Strengthen Immunity

Adequate Vitamin D levels are important for immune regulation and studies suggest that it can help keep colds and flus at bay. Over the long term, research also suggests that Vitamin D may protect against cancer and autoimmune diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis and Crohn’s disease.4

Support Wellness

Research suggests that Vitamin D can help lower blood pressure, aid in blood sugar control, improve cognition and even increase testosterone.7

No animals are killed to produce this supplement. There are two main sources of Vitamin D3: fish oil and purified lanolin harvested from sheep’s wool. We opted to make Nested Naturals Vitamin D3 from purified lanolin, which we believe is the more animal-friendly choice. We’ve also made a conscious choice to make our soft gels from ingredients derived only from vegetables. There’s no gelatin which is produced from animal bones and marrow.

Your Questions, Our Answers

See the most popular questions asked about Vitamin D3.

What’s the difference between Vitamin D3 and D2?

Vitamin D supplements come in two types: D3 or D2. Vitamin D3 (a.k.a. cholecalciferol) is extracted primarily from either purified lanolin harvested from sheep’s wool or fish oil. Vitamin D2 (a.k.a. ergocalciferol) is synthesized from plant materials.

The body converts Vitamin D3 faster than Vitamin D2. Vitamin D3 is the form that our skin makes naturally when exposed to the sun.

Should I take Nested Naturals Vitamin D3 with food or on an empty stomach?

Vitamin D3 a fat-soluble; it needs fat to be absorbed. That’s why we combine it with sunflower oil in the gel-cap. You can take Nested Naturals Vitamin D3 on an empty stomach, but it wouldn’t hurt to take it with a meal.

Where is Nested Naturals Vitamin D3 sourced?

Our Vitamin D3 is made from purified lanolin harvested from sheep’s wool--no animals are killed during this process. Nested Naturals Vitamin D3 is made from purified lanolin, which we believe is the more animal-friendly choice. No animals are killed to produce this supplement. We’ve added a sunflower oil carrier to help your body absorb the Vitamin D3 more efficiently.

What is corn starch doing in Nested Naturals Vitamin D3?

This natural starch product derived from the corn kernel is used in tiny amounts to produce our softgel. It is a fine white to yellow powder commonly used in the manufacturing of nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals as a disintegrant and binder. Disintegrants allow softgels to break down into smaller fragments so that the beneficial natural ingredients can be released for absorption by the body.

The amount of corn starch used in the softgel are insignificant and should not have an affect on your health.

What is carrageenan and what is it doing in Nested Naturals Vitamin D3?

We include tiny amounts of carrageenan in our softgel. Carrageenan is derived from algae that we use to help thicken the compound and create a homogenous solution while in our high quality nutraceutical mixer. Not only that, but carrageenan is one of the best vegan options as a substitute for animal-based gelatin, allowing us to make our capsule out of purely vegan ingredients.

There are various forms of carrageenan, and it has over 50 years of safe use. In fact, It was originally used in Ireland around 1810 to cure respiratory ailments and since has been used as a food additive. We use a food grade carrageenan that has been carefully reviewed and found to be safe by the European Commission and the World Health Organization.

First of all I really like the small size of the pill, and no after taste or burp ups! I have noticed a definite up-lift to my overall mood since I started taking vitamin D. My husband recently retired so I have twice as much husband now and not as much patience ! Suffice it to say this definitely helps !
